The Final Word
As it turns out, 'final project' doesn't have anything to do with having learned everything there is to know. We still don't, and we certainly did a lot of learning throughout the course of the project. All three of us have become stronger programmers, and much stronger team members, as a result of these last few months. Tempest Silvreleaf has inspired in us a confidence that no instructor could, and we thank her for that. Aurexis, our second-player falcon that didn't make it into the game because we ran out of time, taught us humility, and we thank him for that, too. All in all, we're becoming very proud of our game, and more so with each new feature we implement as we dust off the code base. The game could almost be considered done from a technical standpoint, but we feel more like artists who are reluctant to put their paint brushes down. We sincerely hope that other folks get a chance to play Guardians, and find themselves amused by it.
